    The Ask
Celebrate the 60 years of Gatorade and the creation of hydration science by going back to the story of loss that started it all.

Gatorade was born because a football team was losing. 60 years later, that loss is a reminder that greatness doesn’t happen without it.

This campaign brought Gatorade’s origin story to life across anthem films, athlete stories, and a suite of product work. We collabed with the iconic Kendrick Lamar for the brand’s first film centered on a legend outside of sports. The timing could not have been better... with the world still dissecting one of the biggest rap beefs in history, the Kendrick film gave fans plenty to talk about, and Gatorade a place in the conversation.

Because greatness isn’t exclusive to sports.
To be great at anything, it takes the same obsession, discipline, and commitment to your craft you see in a pro athlete. And after 60 years of fueling athletes, Gatorade had the credibility to take that idea somewhere new.
